CHARLESTON, South Carolina, USA: Historic Colonial Mansions and the Longest Cable-Stayed Bridge

Charleston is located on the east coast of America in the State of South Carolina. Charleston is rich in history including many glorious buildings dating back to the Civil War that were relatively undamaged. Much of the historical side of the city is well preserved. A ‘tall-building’ restriction within the city, allows the skyline to be dominated by church steeples and the Arthur Ravenel cable-stayed bridge completed in 2005 over the Cooper River which is the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America.
The highlights of Charleston include either joining a walking tour or carriage tour past many of the older historic homes and buildings. There are many historic and elegant old homes and mansions that can fetch millions to purchase. A sense of what you will see can be viewed on the video below.
