Grafton, also known as the Jacaranda City due to its many Jacaranda tree-lined streets. The town folk celebrate the Annual Jacaranda Festival which is held from the last weekend in October to the first weekend in November. Travel Photos of the Week: Sunsets over Magnetic Island, Australia
Magnetic Island is one of my favourite travel destinations having visited there twice now. It’s the perfect destination for a relaxing family holiday in Queensland. Both times we stayed at Arcadia by pretty Alma Bay where it’s an easy 5mins walk to the beach. One thing we notice about visiting during May, is it’s off-peak and very peaceful but more than that, there are sensational sunsets like these to enjoy.

Travel Photo of the Week: Renmark, South Australia, Australia
Renmark is a small country town situated on the banks of the mighty Murray River in South Australia. It had been a travel destination I had wanted to visit for some time to see the magnificent red cliffs of nearby Paringa. We visited Renmark on the way home from our 2008 Central Australian trip and fell in love with the area. We enjoyed this view of the river, cliffs and surrounding flood plains from an easily accessed lookout. We were surprised to only see the one houseboat in this stretch of river and expected numerous houseboats and speed boats with water skiers, but it was very peaceful. Maybe we were out of season?

Travel Photo of the Week: Amalfi, Italy
The beautiful and stunning Amalfi Coast, Italy was visited recently by Roger. He has shared this fabulous photo of the town of Amalfi itself, clinging to the cliff-face. I have not met a person who has visited the Amalfi Coast who hasn’t fallen in love with it and long to return…me being one! It offers amazing coastal scenery, quaint villages, history and great wining and dining opportunities – all perfect for a romantic travel destination!
