The Betta Spilotegena is another of the family of the Waseri groups of Bettas
It's these species that are on the governments critically endangered list.
The Betta Spilotegena lives in the marshlands and swamps as well as clear water creeks and adjacent streams.
They seem to like a water depth that is quite shallow no more than about one meter deep.
Usually where you find the Betta Spilotegena you'll also find thick vegetation which grows mostly along the shallow banks of a pool, creek or stream.
Betta Spilotegena prefer a lot of shade.
They're also sometimes found in the most northern parts of the Pulau Bintan basin and in Riau Archipeligo.
Betta Spilotegena grow up to approximately 7 centimeters in length.
