The only place that the Betta Hipposideros is be found is in region of Selangor and Perak in the country of Malaysia.
It is usually found in backwater reedy pools, creeks and swamps where's a lot of peat as well as fallen leaves that rests on the water surface.
The Betta Hipposideros is a variety of Betta fish that can grow quite big, and is usually found thriving in slower moving sections of reedy pools and blackwater creeks and streams.
The smaller Betta Hipposideros seems to thrive mainly in the pools where the flow of water is more constant.
The Betta Hipposideros is now considered quite vulnerable, and is listed on the government endangered species list.
Under the right conditions the Betta Hipposideros is said to grow as much as 7.5 centimeters in length.
