The Betta fish known as the Breviobesus is of the family called "Osphronemidae,"

It's also called gouramies, the subfamily of the macropodinae.

These belong to the groups of ray-finned fishes known as Actinopterygii.

Many Betta breeders call them by the names of Dusky Betta.

They mostly live in freshwater areas and enjoy an environments that has a pH level of anywhere from 5.5 to 7.0 with a temperature range of anywhere from 22° to 26° Celsius.

Breviobesus natural habitat is in the country of Sumatra, and can also be found at Singkep of Indonesia. However, they can be also found along the Malayan Peninsula.

Breviobesus grow to approximately 8 centimeters in length.

They are mostly different than a lot of other similar type species because they usually have more anal type fins.

One of the more noticeable things about Breviobesus is... they don't have any lines of color as seen in their close cousin called Betta Enisae.

This also applies to other close relatives as well. They mostly display darker borders on the caudal and their anal flowing fins.

You can see this in their cousins called: the Fusca, Pugnax, Pulchra and the Schalleri.
