It was discovered as far back as 1851 in the waters around Borneo.
It can grow anywhere up to 12 inches in length.
Anabatoides are prized by markets for their commercial values in both the fisheries and for sale at pet store aquariums.
Anabatoides prefer water that has a pH level of approximately 4.5 to 4.8 in order to thrive and survive.
Anabatoides also much prefer a tropical environment that stays all year round at a temperature of between 27 to 30° C.
Other names they're known by are: Large Unspotted and Pearly Bettas.
