Intimism or Intimisme - The intimate domestic interior scenes painted by Pierre Bonnard (French, 1867-1947) and Edouard Vuillard (French, 1868-1940) from the 1890s on. Their styles were different but owed much to their coloring and their move away from the naturalism of the Nabis. Intimism is the English spelling; Intimisme the French spelling.
